Greetings from FICCI!
As you may be aware, the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) is organizing the second edition of the World Food India (WFI) 2023 from 3rd to 5th November 2023 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The platform aims to bring together investors, manufacturers, producers, food processors, policy makers and organizations from the global food ecosystem to the event. The various components of WFI 2023 comprise of an Exhibition, Conference & Thematic knowledge sessions, States and Country Sessions, RBSM for B2B, B2G, and G2G meetings, CEO Roundtables, Food Street, Startup Awards, and much more. FICCI is the Industry Partner for the event.
The previous edition of the WFI organised in 2017 was an immense success with the participation of 70,000+ business delegates, 800+ exhibitors, 60+ countries, 28 states, 50+ global CEOs and 8000+ B2B and B2G meetings.
WFI 2023 is envisaged to showcase India as the Food Basket of the World and to explore the investment and collaboration opportunities in food processing, technology, machinery & equipment, manufacturing processes, supply chain, logistics, cold chain, food retail, etc. The Focus Sub Sectors of Food Processing are Ready to Eat/Ready to Cook; Fruits & Vegetables; Dairy & Value-added Dairy Products; Meat & Poultry; Fisheries & Marine;; Machinery & Packaging; Technology & Innovations and Other Allied categories.
In view of the immense collaborative potential and opportunities for mutual benefit that India has to offer to the world, we kindly request for the Missions support for disseminating the event information among the relevant stakeholders i.e trade associations, Industry chambers and leading companies in the sector to help garner participation from the country to this mega event. We request if you could use your good office to persuade the concerned authority in your respective country of deputation to explore a COUNTRY PAVILION at World Food India 2023. The Event Brochure and Country Partnership Brochure are being enclosed for your kind perusal and ready reference.
A Reverse Buyer Seller Meet (RBSM) is also planned during World Food India 2023 where Foreign Buyers from across the globe will be invited and hosted to have scheduled B-2-B and B-2-G meetings with the Indian counterparts from the sector. In this regard we also seek the Missions support to recommend Buyers from the Sector under the following categories who can be considered to be invited and hosted to the event which would be beneficial to India:- like high end retails; Food Importer; Institutional Buyer; Distributor; Private and Government procurement agency; Machinery importers, Technology providers, etc.
We request you to advise the concerned official in the Mission to provide the recommended buyers’ complete details as per the below table in Excel/ Word format

The received list of buyers will then be shared with MoFPi Screening Committee who will review specific buyer details. The committee will also decide on the quantum of facilities and hospitality i.e. economy class air tickets, hotel accommodation, local transport, or any other suitable arrangements to be granted to the selected buyer.
Your office may share the above information and if possible, a brief profile of the recommended buyers with us before by 15th June 2023.
